Register to vote ONLINE!
The state of Oregon has taken the steps to making voting even easier. Through the Secretary of State's (SOS) office, you can now register to vote online. The SOS launched the new online registration on March 1st, 2010 making Oregon the fourth state in the nation to offer electronic registration.
A valid drivers license is required for registration.

The ASWOU Director of State and Federal Affairs works with the Oregon Student Association (OSA), a coalition of the State's public colleges and Universities. In working with the OSA, the ASWOU Director of State and Federal Affairs will work on campus, state, and national campaigns including campaigns on voter registration, fighting for lower tuition, and increased financial aid. Through the OSA, the ASWOU Director of State and Federal Affairs also has the opportunity to work with the United States Student Association (USSA).
Cristal is a 5th year Senior majoring in Sociology with a minor in Chican@ Studies. She loves her dog, Justin Beiber, and being involved on campus. She enjoys lobbying and/or protesting and protecting students rights.
US Congress Passes Student Aid Reform!
After months of lobbying by student governments and student interests groups, the United States Congress approved Student Aid Reform on Thursday, March 25th as part of the Healthcare Reform bill. This bill ends the government subsides of banks who give students loans and effectively helps make college more affordable for everyone!
