Summer Orientation Advising and Registration - SOAR
What is SOAR? For admitted freshman: registration required SOAR refers to Western Oregon University’s Summer Orientation, Advising and Registration program for admitted freshmen. At SOAR, freshmen will take the math placement test, attend academic advising with faculty, complete the registration process for fall term courses, learn about valuable campus resources and receive their student ID cards.
The 2011 SOAR dates are:
Freshmen admitted for Fall Term 2012 are required to attend one of the SOAR programs. The Office of Admissions anticipates mailing SOAR packets, which will include program registration instructions and Block Schedule information, the first week in June.
Hawaii SOAR Note: Admitted freshmen from the state of Hawaii are invited to attend WOU’s orientation and registration program on the island of Oahu.
When: May 20, 2012 Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm Location: The Hilton, Waikiki Beach; Honolulu, HII
California SOAR Note: Admitted freshmen from the state of California are invited to attend WOU’s orientation and registration program in Northern or Southern CA.
When: May 21, 2012 (Southern CA) and May 22, 2012 (Northern CA) Time: TBA Location: TBA
