  • Note: Registration closes at 5 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the preview day you wish to attend.

 

 

An important announcement regarding the WOU scholarship deadline and the February 11 Winter Preview Day.

 

Due to WOU's decision to cancel the January 21 Winter Preview Day and flooding conditions that impacted mail service, the scholarship deadline is extended for all new freshmen and transfer students. The new scholarship deadline is February 13, 2012.

 

Students attending the February 11 Winter Preview Day are invited to submit a complete admission file during check-in. Students encouraged to review WOU's scholarship requirements and processes online at www.wou.edu/scholarships.

 

 

Preview Day Scholarship

  • Students who have applied for admission during check-in or prior to the program are eligible for the Preview Day scholarship.
  • The scholarships are only valid for students entering WOU Fall Term 2012 and recipients must be present during Preview Day.

When you come to a Western Oregon University Preview Day, you learn about our academic programs, meet our outstanding professors and see what opportunities are available to you on our beautiful campus. WOU Preview Days are designed to acquaint you with our campus and understand why WOU is where you want to be.

  • Attendance is free and family members are welcome to attend
  • Experience the international dance traupe: Rainbow Dance
  • Lunch will be served by our nationally recognized dining services

 

Registration is required

Please complete the online registration process to guarantee your spot for a Preview Day. Students who register the day of a program are subject to the availability of space. Students who register the day of the event are not eligible to receive complimentary tickets for the basketball games on January 21 or February 11. (per NCAA guidelines)

  • Note: Registration closes at 5 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the preview day you wish to attend.

 

Check in is at 9:00 a.m.

Please meet us at the Werner University Center (WUC). There will be signs to guide students and their guests to the designated parking lots for Preview Day. A parking pass is not required.

 

As we will be walking around campus,

Bring a jacket, umbrella, and wear comfortable shoes.

 

Attend a basketball game

  • January 21: Men’s Basketball – 2:00 p.m. start time
    WOU vs. Alaska Anchorage, New Physical Education (NPE)
    WOU is currently in first place in the GNAC conference.

  • February 11: Women’s Basketball – 7:00 p.m. start time
    WOU vs. Saint Martin’s, New Physical Education (NPE)

Complimentary tickets available - for attendees - limit 3 per family.
Complimentary tickets can only be requested when registering online for a Preview Day. Per NCAA policy, students who request tickets must present photo identification at the New Physical Education (NPE) Building to receive their tickets. The WOU Athletic Department will not make exceptions to this policy.

 

If you cannot attend a Preview Day,Consider scheduling an individual campus visit.

We invite you to spend a day getting to know WOU’s campus and community! By visiting us, you’ll get an insider’s view of campus life. Tours are given by current students known as the Ambassadors. Tours depart from the Admissions Office weekdays at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. during the regular academic year and at 1:30 p.m. only during winter, spring and summer breaks.  

 

Admissions status

For student who apply for admission at check-in

Students attending Preview Day who submit an admission application, including official transcripts and the application fee, will be notified of their admission status at the conclusion of the program.
