  • Committee comprised of students, faculty and staff
  • Maximum one-year extension
  • Parameters for limited automatic extensions
    • Enrolled in a degree program that requires more than four years to complete (example ASL or Teacher Education)
    • Participant in a study abroad experience that occurs during academic quarters
    • Note: Course availability ensures that students have the opportunity to graduate in four years
  • Other extenuating circumstances to be heard by committee

    • Advising Before College (ABC)
      • Preview days, admitted student events, and spring/summer orientation and partnerships with high schools
      • Community college dual enrollment agreements and quarterly meetings w/ Chemeketa advisors and students
    • Comprehensive and coordinated Advising for Successful Enrollment (CASE)
      • Enrolled students, quarterly advising registration holds, academic progress monitoring, early identification of at-risk students, tutoring, advising contracts, and support courses.
