and I am an Admissions Counselor and Telecounseling Coordinator at Western Oregon University. I grew up in Corvallis, Oregon and graduated from Crescent Valley High School. After high school I spent two years at a Junior College in San Luis Obispo, California, then a brief one year stop at UC Irvine, before finishing college at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii where I spent three years. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2008. I also had the privilege to play college basketball for four years of my college experience.I am excited and fortunate to be able to come to work every day at great institution like Western Oregon. I am looking forward to traveling to my different cities and counties and sharing with students all that Western Oregon has to offer. I can't wait to meet all of you and answer any question you may have!

My name is Chris Jones
I am currently receiving the great opportunity to work for Western Oregon University as an Admissions Counselor. Before starting work here at WOU, I also had the great experience of attending Western as a student, and receiving my Bachelors of Art in Business, while studying American Sign Language as a minor. During my time as a student here I have been involved in a number of different activities such as: Student Government, PLUS Team, Advocates, ASL Club, Rec. Sports and much more. Working with students has been my true calling for as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in what I thought to be a small town at the time about 30 miles north of Western's campus in McMinnville, Oregon. I am very excited to meet so many new people, and to have the opportunity to help students achieve their goals and dreams. I am always looking to help in anyway I can, so please, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
