Admissions for California Students

Summer Orientation Advising and Registration - SOAR

What is SOAR?

For admitted freshman: registration required

SOAR refers to Western Oregon University’s Summer Orientation, Advising and Registration program for admitted freshmen. At SOAR, freshmen will take the math placement test, attend academic advising with faculty, complete the registration process for fall term courses, learn about valuable campus resources and receive their student ID cards.

The 2013 SOAR dates are:

  • Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza in Concord, CA
  • Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim, CA

Freshmen admitted for Fall Term 2013 are required to attend one of the SOAR programs. The Office of Admissions anticipates mailing SOAR packets, which will include program registration instructions and Block Schedule information, the first week in June.
