MEET THE Greeks

Shelby Worthing

Fraternity and Sorority Council President
You know me, I’m the crazy red-head that walks down the street and yells hello to you from thirty yards away. I am an Economics major and a Business minor who desires to be the world’s best wedding planner. I am originally from Wodonga, Australia and if you ever get me riled up you will know, because that accent comes out strong and furious. I believe that I should rule the world one day, but I have been informed that I will have to fight Tori Stutzman for that position. Fun facts about me (of which there are an unlimited number) is that I know a ton of random facts, am currently the Major Events Programming Assistant for Student Engagement, and that according to Corbin Garner, the previous ASWOU President, there is nothing fun about me. I have also spent two years on PLUS (Peer Leaders Understanding Students), three years working for Service Learning and Career Development, three years as a part of ASWOU, one year on both the Strategic Planning Committee and Incidental Fee Committee. I became a Greek to help create and be a part of a close knit community on campus and to better way Fraternity and Sorority Life is perceived on campus.

Yadira Perez

Kappa Delta Chi President
Yadira Perez is a Community Health major and a social science minor from Tigard, Oregon.

When asked why Greek Life, Yadira said: I chose KDChi because it is academic and service based! Those are two very important aspects of my life. I also really cherish our values that we uphold.

Obed Lopez

Omega Delta Phi President
I chose Greek Life because its a way to meet other individuals that share the same values as you as well as a way to get involved with campus student life. I’m studying Medicinal Chemistry with a minor in Med. Chem. and want to work in an any type of analytical lab. I love hiking and I’ve never broken a bone. On campus I am involved with the STEM Scholars Center, the Willamette Promise Program, and on campus research on nanotechnology.
