Each year WOU is involved with recruitment fairs open to all eligible recruiters. We routinely assess these to ensure both students and recruiters are being well-served. - Opportunity Fair Scheduled annually during New Student Week, this fair is a great opportunity for employers to meet students as they first come to campus. We highlight work study opportunities, part-time local jobs, volunteering in the community, and internships for the upcoming year.
- Internship & Volunteer Fair Scheduled annually for the third Wednesday of February, this fair highlights organizations and companies that have internship and volunteer opportunities.
- Criminal Justice & Government Services Career Fair Scheduled annually for the first Wednesday of March, this fair is geared to students, and agencies within the Criminal Justice field. This fair is held in conjunction with Admissions “Criminal Justice Career Day” in which high school students from around the region will visit campus to learn more about WOU’s CJ program. The students will also visit the career fair during a specific set time to network with recruiters and learn more about the requirements of different agencies.
- Education Career Fair This career fair is held typically soon after Spring Break. Often it is scheduled very near to the Oregon Educators Fair held in Portland to allow access to a wider variety of recruiter to visit campus. Most recruiters are typical school districts searching for licensed teachers, but also includes services needing assistants and trainers.
