I am a student and need enrollment/full-time status verification (for non-loan deferment related purposes). Where can I obtain this type of verification?

Q: I am a student and need enrollment/full-time status verification (for non-loan deferment related purposes). Where can I obtain this type of verification?

 

A: You can log in to your Wolf Web account at www.wou.edu/wolfweb. (If you have never done this, there will be an “account look up” link provided on this webpage). From there, go to “Student Menu” then “Enrollment Verification.” Follow the links to “Obtain an Enrollment Certificate.” Be sure to select the time of enrollment you need (Current, All, etc.). This will provide you with a WOU endorsed/Clearinghouse Verified copy of your official enrollment and status. If you experience any technical difficulties logging in to your student account, you can contact university computing services at 503-838-8925 or ucshelpdesk@wou.edu. If the certificate does not open/work for you, feel free to contact our Verification Officer at 503-838-8415, or dulla@wou.edu.

Q: I was awarded a scholarship that needs proof of registration/enrollment. How do I get this?

 

A: Most scholarship companies will accept a copy of an acceptance letter to WOU and a copy of your schedule of classes as proof of registration/enrollment. To obtain a copy of your schedule of classes, you will need to log in to Wolf Web which is located here: https://banweb.ous.edu/wouprd/owa/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin. If you have never logged in before, you can click on the “Account Lookup” link and follow the steps to gain access. If you run into technical difficulties logging into your student account, you can contact university computing services at 503-838-8925 or ucshelpdesk@wou.edu.

Q: I am a Third Party Representative that needs degree/enrollment verification on a student. Where can I obtain this information?

 

A: Degree and Enrollment verification services are provided by the National Student Clearinghouse: http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/vs_portal.php .  If you experience errors, feel free to contact the Verification Officer at 503-838-8415 or dulla@wou.edu.

 

NOTE: If a student has “confidential” on their file, we will be unable to release or acknowledge information including directory information without a FERPA compliant release. For information about directory/non-directory information and what is required to release information, refer here:  http://www.wou.edu/provost/registrar/privacy_students.php.

Q: I need to know the grades I received in classes/my academic standing/academic major/GPA for past terms of enrollment. How can I verify these things?

 

A: You can log in to your Wolf Web account at www.wou.edu/wolfweb. (If you have never done this, there will be an account look up link provided on this webpage.) From there, go to “Student Menu” then “Student Records” then “Unofficial Transcripts.” This should answer all of your questions about class grades, academic standing, academic major, and GPA.  There is also a GPA Calculator available if manual input is required.

 

If you run into a “hold” related message, you can click on the “View Holds” link under “Student Records.” Make sure to clear all holds through the appropriate department(s). Once the holds are removed, you should be able to access your unofficial transcripts.

 

If you attended before the fall of 1987, fill out a transcript order form via Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF and initial the top portion which will read: “If you attended WOU (WOSC or OCE) prior to fall term 1987 and wish to receive a free unofficial copy of your transcript, please initial here _______.” Send that form into us (information about this is located at the bottom of the form), and don’t include payment unless you plan to order an official copy of your transcripts as well.

Q: Where can I find course descriptions for current/past courses?

 

A: You can find catalogs with course descriptions from fall 2003 through the current term here: Online Catalogs

 

If you need course descriptions prior to the fall of 2003, you can send a list of all courses and terms they were taken (eg. Fall 1989: Bio 101, Fr 202, etc.) to our Verification Officer at: dulla@wou.edu, fax it to: 503-838-9696 attn: Course Description Verifications, or mail:

Q: If I have a verification form that needs to be filled out, who do I bring it to?

 

A: Make sure you have filled out any information requested of you before sending it to WOU. You can bring verification forms to Administration Room 106D, fax them to 503-838-9696, scan them as an email PDF attachment to registrar@wou.edu or mail them to:

When sending in forms, be aware of what you are authorizing us to verify and be sure all portions pertaining to you are completed. If there is no place to sign your name on the form, be sure to include a brief statement authorizing us to fill the form out with your handwritten signature on it. Q: What is needed to release my academic information/How can I request an official letter on letterhead with my academic information?

 

A: You can request a release of academic information by signing a statement to WOU and either sending it to WOU, attn: Verifications, 345 N. Monmouth Ave., Monmouth OR, 97361, faxing it to 503-838-9696, emailing it to dulla@wou.edu, or bringing it to Administration BLDG Room 106D.    1. What information is to be released

   2. To whom the information is to be released

   3. The purpose for which it is to be released

   4. The student’s signature and the date signed

   5. In addition to the aforementioned items, to help us better serve you we also need:

                a. Your printed name

                b. Mailing Address

                c. V# or SSN

                d. Expected Grad. Date (if known)

                e. Intended Major (if known)

                f. the address, email, or fax number where the verification can be sent (if different from mailing address) or instructions to be held for pick up.

                g. Your phone number or email.

Q: Where can I update personal information such as address/phone number?

 

A: You can log in to your WOU Portal account at www.wou.edu/portal. (If you have never logged in before or cannot remember your login information, click the “Account Lookup” link and follow the steps. If you are experiencing technical difficulties logging in, contact University Computing Services at ucshelpdesk@wou.edu or 503-838-8925.) Once there, click on the WOLFWEB icon (green) and select “Personal Information.” This will allow you to access a menu on how to update your personal information.

Q: How long do verification requests take to process?

 

A:  Requests can take up to 1 week to be processed by our office. Please allow ample time in order for us to process your request as quickly as possible. If you have extenuating circumstances, contact the Verification Officer at 503-838-8415 or dulla@wou.edu.
