Project Description:

The overall purpose of the proposed project is threefold:

1. to provide a safe, respectful campus environment for all students, staff and faculty,
2. to expand the victim assistance services and resources available to WOU’s students, and to
3. increase the campus and community’s awareness and understanding about rape myths, sexual assault on college campuses, the link between alcohol consumption and date rape, myths about domestic violence, and what each person can do to prevent violence against women.

The goals will be met through the coordination of multiple internal and external partners, initiation of an online educational program addressing both sexual assault and alcohol abuse for all incoming students, and ongoing awareness and training.
