New Summit is here!

The new Summit is now live! You can begin searching and requesting any time.
In the first few weeks, there may be a little bumpiness as the system develops and we appreciate your patience as we work through this. One “bump” may be encountered when you request items:
To request items, you may need to enter your last name and WOU barcode (your v number with a 2 in front) OR your last name and v number. If one way does not work, try the other.

Worldcat.org

The new Summit is coming December 1! Want a preview of what searching will be like? Try Worldcat.org.
The new Summit is based on Worldcat.org, which lets you search and borrow from the collections of libraries around the world. You can search for books, music CDs, videos and all the types of materials that you are used to getting through Summit. Additionally, you may discover many new kinds of content, such as downloadable audiobooks and article citations with links to order them or, sometimes, view their full text.

New library homepage

After months of planning, the Library and Media Services homepage has received a makeover. We’ve taken feedback and suggestions from you and designed a site that strives to be easier and more convenient to use. Poke around a bit and let us know what you think. We’ll be seeking feedback and making adjustments to our secondary pages as a next step.
Also, we want to give a big thank you to all of the people who took time out of your summer to test the demo sites we created!

New and improved Summit catalog, coming in late 2008

Work is currently underway on an upgrade to the Summit unified catalog, which allows you to request books and materials from other regional academic libraries in the Orbis Cascade Alliance. The new Summit catalog will be fully installed by the end of 2008. Summit borrowing services will continue without interruption during this transition.
