Mother Bear Project: 2009 The Mother Bear Project is a non-profit organization that provides comfort and hope to children in Africa who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. WOU Students, Staff and Faculty knit and crochet these teddy bears by hand to be sent to Africa through the Mother Bear project. Each will be given to a child who has been affected by HIV/AIDS. The red scarf is in advocacy of HIV/AIDS relief. Once they reach the Mother Bear Project center they will be given red hearts.
