Currently featured is the recent research of Dr. Roger Lohmann, a visiting professor of Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin. His research focuses on the Asabano peoples of Papua New Guinea. He conducted the first in-depth study of the Asabano in 1994-95. His research focuses on recording and analyzing traditional practices and cultural changes that have occurred since contact. This exhibit presents a few of the items of traditional decoration that his Asabano friends gave him.
