Geri Marshall Collection
February 1 - April 13, 2001

Geri Marshall is a retired librarian from Dallas, Oregon who spent much of her educational career traveling throughout the world.  In her travels in the United States she collected artifacts that are related to her ancestors and items of educational value.

Currently she has loaned us the death certificate from her great-grandfather who died in the Civil War.

Also on loan is an Illuminated manuscript circa 1450-1500 CE.  Painted on parchment (vellum (sheep or goat skin.) Berry juice was used as natural ink. It is believed to have come from an Italian Monastery.

Location:  2nd Floor Lobby
Curator: Jerrie Lee Parpart
