Accessing and Ordering Materials from Wolf, the Hamersly Library Catalog
Students in Extended Programs courses may obtain books from the Hamersly Library by searching Wolf, the Hamersly Library catalog, then ordering them online. Delivery is free to your place of residence. Students are responsible for any return costs. (Books may also be left at the closest Summit Library for free return to Hamersly).
Searching for books in WOLF
You may search the library catalog by keyword, title, author, subject, or use advanced search techniques to limit your holdings. Make sure that the status of the material you desire is AVAILABLE.
Ordering materials from Hamersly Library*
[*Off-campus use of certain library systems is limited to WOU faculty and students. To ensure access, users may be asked for validation by the Hamersly Library proxy server.]
- After locating materials in WOLF, open the WorldCat database from the Hamersly Library homepage [> Journal Articles and Databases; > Select by Title; > UVW; > WorldCat]. Do a title search for your desired material, making sure to check the box near the bottom of the search screen: "Items in my library".
- When your desired result displays, look for the link: Borrow this item from another library.
- On the ordering screen, fill in the requested identifying information. Set status to WOU Distance Education Student. (Failure to complete this step may result in denial of your request!) Your materials should be shipped on the next business day after Hamersly Library receives your request.

If you are unable to find desired books in neither WOLF nor Summit, you may search WorldCAT, making sure not to check the box for "Items in my Library." WorldCat searches the holdings of thousands of libraries around the world; many items found may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
