Summit is a unified catalog of over 30
college and university libraries in Oregon
and Washington. Together, these libraries
provide access to 22 million books, sound
recordings, films, and video tapes in
just a single search. Check
here to see which library might be
closest to where you live.
Summit provides much greater access to
library materials than that which can
be obtained just at Hamersly Library.
Moreover, the benefits of using Summit
as a Extended Programs student are:
- You may use the nearest
Summit library as a pickup location
for materials you have ordered. Delivery
is fast and free.
- You may also use the same Summit library
as a drop-off location to return your
library materials. Again, there is no
shipping fee involved (if you sent materials
back to Hamersly Library, you would
be responsible for costs). In order
to make sure that materials are returned
before their due date, factor in 3 days
for shipping.
- Use Summit much the same way you would
another library catalog. You may search
by keyword, title, author, subject,
or use advanced search techniques to
limit your results.

- After finding the record for your
desired materials, click on.
- On the next screen, select as the institution with
which you are affiliated.
- On the final screen, fill out the
requested identifying information, then
select the Summit library closest to
you as your desired "." The "" will generally
be the Circulation counter of the selected
library.
For general assistance in using the Summit
catalog, you may contact the Hamersly
Library Reference Desk at 503.838.8899
or you may contact the Reference Desk
of the Summit Library located closest
to you. If you experiencing difficulty
in requesting materials, or need to track
an order or return, please contact Bryan
Miyagishima at 503.838.8892 or email:
