Printers

It is not
possible to control all circumstances
on a shared, networked printer.
There is a small chance that
another person can send a print
job which could print on your
transparency. Read all the
instructions below before starting.
Follow these steps carefully.
Ask the staff for assistance. |
A. Buy the correct transparency for laser-inkjet
printing at the WOU Bookstore.
B.
Prepare your document or image
for printing.
When
you are ready to print, use the
software program's File-Print menu.
1.
Select a Single-Sided printer in
the Print Dialog box. Note - We
recommend printing only one transparency
at a time.
2.
Click on the Preferences (or Properties)
button.
3 & 4.
Change the Paper Source to Tray
1 (Manual) and click OK.
5. Click on Print (or OK) in the dialog box.
Then go immediately to the printer.

Use Tray 1
Follow
the instructions below to properly
place your transparency in Tray
1.
At the Printer:
1. At the printer stand, look for the printer
with a red light - the LCD panel will indicate "Manual Feed." This means
the printer is ready for your transparency.
2.
Open Tray 1 on the printer.
3. Insert a transparency with the smooth
side DOWN.
Note -
We recommend loading only one
transparency at a time into Tray
1.
4. The printer will automatically feed the
transparency.
PhotoCopiers
Making
Transparencies on Library Photocopiers

We recommend
that you do a test copy on
paper before making a transparency. |
1. Buy the correct transparency
for photocopiers at the WOU Bookstore.
2.
Place your original on the photocopier.
3.
Open the manual tray (also called
the By-Pass tray) located on the
right side of the copier.
4.
Place a photocopier transparency
in the manual tray.
5.
Insert money or copy card.
6.
Select paper size: LTR and
press next.
7. Press Transparency (3rd row, 3rd button)
and press OK.
8.
Press the Start button to make
the transparency. |
