Off-Campus Access to Databases and Online Resources
Subscription databases and some online sites are only available to WOU students,
faculty and staff. An individual's Pawprint
username and password authorizes access to the restricted links.
Searching in the catalog, Summit, library Web pages, and most external links
are available to everyone.
You can access your H drive and specialized programs, including Photoshop, SPSS, SAS and Dreamweaver from off campus by using WOU's terminal servers.
Need Your Password?
If you don't remember your Pawprint, use the Account Lookup utility.
Technical Recommendations and Requirements
To have full functionality when searching library resources, we recommend:
- Internet Explorer version 7 or greater or Firefox
- Cookies, Java, and JavaScript enabled (usually the default settings)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6 or greater (a free helper/plug-in application)
- Firewalls: Many school districts and workplaces have firewalls that interfere with the proxy server, the machine that identifies you as a WOU patron to the databases. Contact your network administrator for assistance. Your network or ISP must allow access to ports 2048-2248 (except 2049).
- Many databases use Java and/or JavaScript. We recommend that you enable Java and JavaScript in your browser.
Please report problems to the Reference Desk (503-838-8899) or email libweb@wou.edu
