Basic Instructions
Instructions are posted at these workstations. This information is summarized below.

1. Scanner Preparation

The Minolta MS2000 Scanner must be on before the computer is turned on or rebooted.
If the scanning program reports an error, keep the scanner on and restart the computer.

  A.  Load your microfilm or fiche in the Minolta MS2000 scanner.

  B.  Locate the frame you want to scan and adjust the machine for focus, zoom, etc.

2. Scanning your Image

  A.  Adobe Acrobat is the scanning program used at this workstation.

  B.  After an image is displayed on the scanner, click on Acrobat's File menu and select Import.

3. Output Options

Once images are scanned, you may perform the following tasks with Adobe Acrobat:
Print Click the File menu and select Print.
Printing defaults to a nearby network printer.
Save Click the File menu and select Save As.
Locate the drive you want (floppy drive A or network drive H). Note: Some files may be too large for a floppy disk.
PDF is the default file format.
Email Click the File menu and select Send Mail.
You will be prompted to first save to a file.
Then an email client window will open. Send the file to an email address.
Note: You can send your message to any email address, but some email systems have limitations on attachment file size.

4. Please turn off the Minolta Scanner when finished.

Use the desktop icon to logout.
