How Do I Submit My IRB Application?
Step 1: Determine who will be the Principal Investigator (PI). If the PI is a student, a faculty advisor is required.
Step 2: All Principal Investigators must complete the human subjects training at CITI beginning September 2014. WOU has an institutional membership that covers the cost of this training for students, faculty and staff. NOTE: If you already completed human subjects training through NIH, your certificate is valid for three years.
Step 3: Determine the level of review for your study
Step 4: Complete the IRB Application and carefully read instructions, making sure to include additional word documents
Step 5: Create a consent or assent document
Step 6: Carefully read over all documents, contact the Writing Center if you would like help improving the quality of your protocol and consent/assent forms
Step 7: Submit all completed documents via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
