INTERNATIONAL HOME STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS THE STAFF TRANSLATIONS اللغة العربية / Arabic Chinese Español Japanese Korean Portuguese	Ski trip Ski Trip 2011 Information Event Information What: Annual International Ski/Snowboarding Trip When: Friday to Saturday, January 21st to January 22nd, 2011 Where: Mt. Hood Meadows Resort at Mt Hood What: Go Skiing, Snowboarding, or Tubing on Mt. Hood! Lodging, bus ride, and food is provided! We will be staying at Salmon River Meadows Lodge on Jan 21, and leave early morning to Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort on Jan 22. We will return back to WOU at the end of the day. Cost of event: (pay in exact cash or check only!) Signup fee for International Club member= $3 Signup fee for non member = $6 Plus any of the following: 1. Beginners package (Buttercup lift ticket, equipment rentals, and 90 minute lesson) = $59 2. Lift ticket (the whole mountain) = $59 3. Equipment Rentals (if you don't have any Snow-board/Ski) = $30 Payments are nonrefundable after 5:00 pm, Jan 17, 2011. These are the group rates, so you have to decide now if you want to snow-boardor ski to take advantageof these prices.Or else you will be paying higher prices if you decide on the day of skiing. Also remember to sign the liability form.You will need to pay as soon as you sign up. What to Bring: Towels Toiletries (Toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, shampoo, etc) Clothing: enough for at least two or three days You don't need to bring any sleeping bags or blankets.It is provided by the lodge.Dinner, Breakfast and lunch will be provided too. Clothing - What you should wear on your ski trip day!!! You need to make sure you have the right clothing for the trip, because there is no clothing rentals at the ski resort.There is a store, but I suggest you get, buy, borrow, or rent before you leave forthe trip. These are what you need if you are going snow-boardingor skiing. Jackets - A warm and comfortable jacket is a must, water proofing is a plus. Waterproof Pants - Water proof over-pantsare best, jeans are about the worst. If you wear jeans, wear a heavy pair of sweatpants over it. Hats - A hat is needed for warmth when it’s windy or snowing. Gloves - Hands are usually the first part of the body to get cold. Waterproof gloves or mittens are important in staying warm and dry. *Eyewear - Goggles are best because they protect the eyes from the elements of winter - sun, wind, and blowing snow. Sunglasses are better suited for milder weather and sunny days. Clothing appropriate for the mountains will help insure that you will enjoy your skiing experience. Keep your body warm by dressing in layers that will allow you to customize according to the weather and temperature. Load all your belongings in the bus. 7:45 amDepart from the lodge (Bus leaves) 8:00 am Arrive at Mt. Hood Meadows Resort Have Fun Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing Lunch at your own time. 3:30 pmMeet in front of the Ski Resort 4:30 pm Depart Mt.
