The Office of International Students and Scholars Affairs is the Center for all international students and scholars' services and activities on WOU's campus.
ISSA is responsible for:
-international students' recruitment,
-application and transcript evaluations,
-I-20/DS-2019 visa forms issuing,
- new student orientation,
-on campus activities
-visiting Scholars' application evaluations
Apart from the above mentioned services, ISSA is in charge of international programming and collaborations with international institutions as well as WOU's faculty international development. Please stop by the ISSA office located in Maaske Hall. Our office staff would like to meet with you and find out how we can help you to meet your education goals at Western Oregon University.
Established in 1856, Western Oregon University is the first public university in the state of Oregon. The university offers 40 undergraduate programs and 12 graduate programs in liberal arts and sciences and professional programs in education, business, and public services; and a cooperative program in nursing. Currently there are more than 6,200 students enrolled on WOU’s Monmouth campus.
Western Oregon University is located in Monmouth, a safe and beautiful town on the North West coast of the United States. The university is within an easy driving distance from major cities such as Portland, Seattle, the Pacific Ocean and the breathtaking Cascade Mountains. The climate is moderate and comfortable nearly year-round.
