Established in 1856, Western Oregon University is the first public university in the state of Oregon. The university offers 40 undergraduate programs and 12 graduate programs in liberal arts and sciences and professional programs in education, business, and public services; and a cooperative program in nursing. Currently there are more than 6,200 students enrolled on WOU’s Monmouth campus.

 

Western Oregon University is located in Monmouth, a safe and beautiful town on the North West coast of the United States. The university is within an easy driving distance from major cities such as Portland, Seattle, the Pacific Ocean and the breathtaking Cascade Mountains. The climate is moderate and comfortable nearly year-round.
