WOU welcomes international students and scholars, and the richness in diversity that they bring to our campus. We have students from all parts of the world, from Africa, Asia, Europe, South and North America. International students enjoy studying here because they feel comfortable with the friendly hometown atmosphere, the ease of getting involved in campus life, the welcome feeling from the local community, and the closeness of nearby attractions.

Our campus is in Monmouth, Oregon, a quiet and safe town of about 8,000 people located just 16 miles from Oregon’s state capital, Salem. Monmouth is within an hour by car from the beautiful Oregon Coast, the breathtaking Cascade Mountains, and the exciting city life of Portland.

The International Students and Scholars Affairs Office is the headquarter for all on campus international student and scholar activities and is responsible for all international student and scholar applications, admissions, and visa forms issuing at WOU. The International Students and Scholars Affairs Office also conducts international programming and exchanges between WOU and international institutions, and coordinates various international cultural and training programs both at WOU and in other countries.
