Honors Committee
An advisory committee at the Faculty Senate level, the Honors Committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month that the university is in session. In addition to faculty, 3-4 students are also members -- one of the distinguishing elements of the committee. The committee provides a forum to address issues or ideas with the goal of improving the Honors Program.
The committee's structure derives not only from a desire for diversity but also from the participation of separate academic units within the program. The committee is advisory in nature. The structure and members of the 2009-2010 Honors Committee are as follows:
