BA Western Oregon University, 1999: Psychology with minors in ASL, Sociology, and Gender Studies
Professional: After eight years working in the field of rehabilitation, Kim joined the Rehabilitation Counselor Education Program in 2009 as both Clinical Coordinator and instructor. As a rehabilitation professional, Kim has worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for Oregon's Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services for a majority of her career. Additionally she provided services under the umbrella of a Center for Independent Living as well as working with Disability Determination Services for the Social Security Administration. Kim is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She has a passion for empowering students and individuals with disabilities or Deafness to find and succeed in their life's work. Personal: Kim has called Oregon home all of her life. Along with her husband and two delightful daughters she resides in Salem, Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys quilting, thrift store shopping, and getting outdoors. |
