Master of Arts in Teaching: Initial License
This degree prepares graduates for a first, or initial, license to teach high school. A middle level teaching option is also available. For the MAT full-time program (four consecutive terms), apply as follows: mid-September for cohort that begins in January, late January for cohort that begins in June. Apply for the MAT part-time, Web-based program (six to seven consecutive terms) as follows: mid-October for cohort that begins in January, mid-April for cohort that begins in June.

Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling
Two cohort options: Rehabilitation Counseling for the Deaf and Rehabilitation Counseling-General. Both cohorts begin fall term and require attendance for seven consecutive terms as full-time graduate students. Scholarships are available. Apply by March 15. This program trains rehabilitation counselors to work with adults with disabilities, meets Oregon curriculum requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and meets requirements to seek national certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.

Master of Science in Education: Special Education
Cohorts begin each spring term and the program takes five to six terms.
Apply to the Special Educator degree program by February 28. This program is designed to prepare teachers to work with special education students from early childhood through high school. This degree program is six quarters long. Candidates do not need to hold a previous teaching license.

Master of Science in Education: Teacher Preparation, Deaf Education
Please note: Moratorium extended on new admissions.
Cohorts begin each fall term; apply by April 15. This is a full-time, six-quarter program. Candidates are not required to hold a previous teaching license.

Master of Science in Education: Continuing Teaching License
Start during any quarter and take classes full- or part-time. This degree is specifically designed for teachers who hold the Oregon Initial teaching license and want to attain Continuing licensure.
