Professional: I process Graduate Admissions; help coordinate initial contact with prospective students, comprehensive examinations held during each term of the academic year, and provide adminstrative support for the Graduate Programs Director and the Graduate Studies Committee, and back-up for the Provost Office.

Background: Originally from California, with 15 years of experience in the insurance business and 4 years of additional college work to get teaching licensure and teaching Special Education, I moved to Oregon. I worked in Special Education in the Corvallis School District for one year and then got a job in Student Actitivities at OSU. While there I completed my masters program. Following 9 years at OSU, I came to work at WOU in Finance and Administration, and moved to Graduate Programs in 2008.

Personal: I am very glad to live in Oregon! My favorite things are to travel, see movies and live theatre (especially Shakespeare) and to visit and support farmers markets. I am a board member for Marion-Polk Food Share and coordinate the WOU employees food drive annually.
