Research methods will provide you with the knowledge and skills to develop a research proposal and undertake a Masters level research-based dissertation. Work-based projects provide you with the opportunity to synthesize what you have learned in the program and apply all the theory, knowledge and skills into purposeful action with a real life project in an employing organization.
Similar to a capstone thesis, the dissertation allows you to select a topic of your own interest and proceed to deepen and develop your knowledge in that area. The dissertation is an opportunity to develop your skills as an autonomous learner and allows you to extend the knowledge gained in the rest of the MA program to your own career. Each student will be assigned a dissertation advisor who will work with students to ensure individual success on this project.
