How DEP Serves You
Undergraduate Students: DEP works with the Colleges on campus to offer distance courses for WOU students. These classes provide flexibility for students who work, have kids, or desire a class they can complete on their own time.
K-12 Teachers: DEP offers several distance programs to meet the needs of Oregon K-12 teachers. These programs are offered either online or at satellite locations around the state.
K-12 Administrators: Through the Credit Overlay Program, administrators can provide an option for WOU credit on in-services and workshops. DEP will also work with administrators to provide on-site endorsement programs or professional development workshops.
WOU Faculty: DEP strives to provide opportunities for WOU faculty to provide special workshops, experimental courses, online classes, field trip experiences, certificate programs, or anything else they propose. DEP works closely with WOU faculty and staff on all programs we offer.
Community Members: DEP is constantly looking for opportunities to serve our local community. Currently we offer language and culture classes that are open to the public.
State Agencies/Business: DEP provides customized training to several non-profit organizations, state agencies and businesses. Our services range from logistical planning (location, catering, etc.) to curriculum development and instruction.
