Transfer advising
Academic advising at WOU is a critical
factor in the successful completion of
a degree. You will be assigned an academic
advisor, which is determined by the major
you reported on your admissions application.
If you have not decided on a major, you
will be assigned to an advisor in the
Academic Advising and Learning Center.
There are many reasons to meet with your
advisor at least once each term:
- For assistance with major and minor degree requirements;
- To discuss academic and career goals;
- For information about internship and employment opportunities;
- For assistance in developing an academic plan to address challenging courses;
- For assistance with course scheduling to remain on-track for completion of your degree.
