Historic Home and Museum Open to Public The Historic Gentle House will be open for viewing every Monday through the fall. You will have the opportunity to see the home and grounds, learn about its connection to the university, and find out what the home is used for now.

Faculty/Staff Yoga Warren Allen has been providing WOU faculty and staff the benefits of yoga for about 8 years. He will continue this tradition this year from the HWC on Mondays & Wednesdays from 8 to 850am. Join us for relaxation, strengthening, stretching, flexibility and mindful breathing.

WOU CJA & Student Media 5K/10K Come and support the WOU Criminal Justice Association and get in an awesome workout! This race is also a benefit for the Student Media to go to New Orleans. We will have prizes from Road Id, Burgerville, Frozation and Yeasty Beasty. Also with possibilities to win other prizes. The race starts at 9 in the morning. There will be food and drinks before and after. If you are coming from out of town there will be parking at the site. The most important thing is the price: IT IS ONLY $15 (if you are a student show student ID card and get in for only $5). This Run is "partially timed" which isn't chip time so the timer gives you an estimated time you finish. This is for everyone to use. Walkers, strollers and dogs are allowed (dogs need to be on a leash). The course is flat with one slight hill at the beginning a(and middle for the 10kers). for the 10kers you do the course twice. The panel presentation members will consist of WOU faculty and various admissions officers from graduate schools.

Faculty and Staff Seasonal Flu Shot Clinics How to Access: You do not need to call and make an appointment. All you need to do is show up during one of the scheduled clinics with your insurance card and a completed insurance form. Guidelines for PEBB Work-Site Flu Clinics: Vaccinations are provided on a first-come-first-served basis. All eligible PEBB members and dependents currently enrolled in a PEBB medical plan may receive a free flu shot at the worksite flu shot clinics. Dependents must be at least 9 years old. Dependents younger than 15 must have written consent from a parent or guardian. Pneumococcal vaccine will not be available at these clinics. Members and dependents must show the enrolled member's medical plan ID card and complete a short insurance form. Employees who are not covered by PEBB (temporaries, contract workers, etc.) may receive a flu shot for $30. Cash or check accepted. No credit cards. Wear clothing that allows access to your upper arm. If you would like to receive the nasal spray flu vaccine (FluMist) please contact Trisha Guy (guyt@wou.edu) by e-mail prior to October 9, 2013.

October 16th: "Panel of students who are registered with the Office of Disability Services," presented by a variety of students. Promote Disability Awareness on campus, the power and influence on diversity at Western Oregon University!
