MONMOUTH – The Residence Hall Association (RHA) at Western Oregon University will host “Safe Halls” on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the university’s residence halls. Community members, staff and faculty can bring their children to this safe and friendly place for Halloween. Past Safe Hall Halloween events have included face-painting, trick-or-treating, a haunted house, games, crafts and snacks.
RHA is the student government and programming organization for the residence hall students at WOU. RHA consists of all residents on campus, but includes two specific groups: RHA Executive Board and the General Assembly. Each residence hall has their own hall government that plans programs and represents their hall at General Assembly. Each year, the RHA Executive Board and hall governments strive to bring innovative and creative programming to on-campus students. Programming educates, creates social bonds, promotes diversity, and serves the community.
Safe Halls is a program that is put on by the RHA Executive Board in conjunction with the hall governments.
