Education Trunks-

Thanks to a grant from Trust Management Services, LLC, the Jensen Arctic Museum is offering different thematic traveling trunks for use by educators. These trunks explore various aspects of Arctic life, culture and/or ecology, with lesson plans, hands-on activities, images and objects that can be adjusted for students in several grades. Three identical trunks are dedicated to each theme, allowing for frequent and congruent use. The trunks are available for use by teachers, educational groups, cultural organizations and other similar organizations. Each trunk has activities and curriculum plans designed to help teachers develop classroom projects and to meet state education standards. The themes of the four trunks are: Arctic Families, Arctic Cultures, Arctic Animals and Arctic Adaptations.

Arctic Animals (Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade):

This trunk focuses on the animals of the Arctic. Inside are materials to learn about the animals' biology, habitats and other behaviors.
