Guest speakers and children's activities
On the third Saturday of every month the museum hosts children’s activities. Children are invited to participate in activities such as making traditional yo-yos and learning about the migratory patterns of geese. This project is made possible in part by funding from the Polk County Cultural Coalition as well as contributions from the Friends of the Jensen Arctic Museum. Thanks to these contributions the museum is also able to host symposiums and guest lecturers throughout the year.
Education
If you are a teacher and would like information about the Arctic before visiting the museum, we offer pre-tour packets as well as education trunks that have information and other fun activities for your students to do in class before visiting.
