Wedding ceremonies and receptions have been held virtually everywhere on the beautifully landscaped grounds. Think of a special location which looks appealing to your bride and groom…under the fir trees, on the front steps of the original house, in the gazebo, under the walnut trees facing the lovely established grape arbor. The possibilities are endless at Gentle House! Ask our staff for ideas.

The renter is responsible for setting up tables and chairs for the event and then returning them to their storage location following the event unless prior arrangements are made. The Gentle house Staff can be hired to do this. We would need a diagram of your desired set up at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

Reservations for a specific date will be held up to seven days without payment of a deposit.
A confirmed booking will require a non-refundable deposit of $200.
One month after date of booking, 50 percent of the balance is due.
The unpaid balance must be paid four months prior to the rental date.
All fees are payable to "WOU Foundation", which owns the Historic Gentle House.
Failure to complete payment four months prior to the event will result in our canceling your use of the facility and forfeiture of the deposit and any other payments that have been made.
A separate check or credit card deposit of $200 is required as a damage deposit at the time of booking. This deposit is refundable after your event, providing there are no damages or excessive clean up
Last-minute rentals are accepted, depending on availability.
You can hire any caterer you wish or do your own food. Foods that require cooking must be cooked off site and then brought in. There are two ovens that can be used for re-heating.
