The Historic Gentle House can accomodate all of your business event needs.
Equipment
Only 20 minutes from Salem, we have a large conference room with smaller rooms in the main house for breakouts. The modern kitchen can be used for catering or for bringing your own potluck lunches. We will provide tables and chairs, PA system, overhead projector and screen, and whiteboard. Also, a welcoming Hostess will be there at the start of your event to familiarize you with the facility and its resources. Other equipment and staff are available for an additional charge.
The Gentle House is situated on beautiful park-like grounds for recreational breaks.
The following rates each include a Gentle House Welcoming Hostess who welcomes you to the facility and familiarizes you with the resources available. You may purchase hours of set up and clean up for $15 per hour for each staff member required. If you would like a tour of the upstairs museum during your event there will be an additional $15 per hour charge for a second hostess.
The "Entire Facility" rate includes the use of the catering kitchen.
For reservations of only the Main House, Conference Room, or Grounds, add $20.00 for the use of the catering kitchen. All arrangements for catering are the responsibility of the renter. You may select your own catering service and/or bring your own food. Gentle House Operations also has a list of caterers and OLCC licensed servers available.
Each additional rental hour is $40.00 per hour no matter the time block.

It is the responsibility of the renter to leave Gentle House clean, with tables and chairs wiped down and put away, dishes washed, kitchen floor swept, spills wiped up, and the garbage removed to the outside containment area when leaving the facility. You may purchase additional hours of set up and clean up to help you with this for $15 per hour charge for each staff member required.
Capacity
The City of Monmouth Fire Marshall has determined the maximum capacity for Gentle House. The Conference Room can accommodate 120 people standing and 85 seated. The Main House can accommodate 80 people standing and 40 seated in the living room. If you expect more than the legal number allowed we must regretfully ask you to choose an alternate site for your event.
