WOU Foundation

Create your own endowed fund

Individuals or like-minded groups can create their own endowed scholarship, fellowship, or program support fund with a single or combined gift of $25,000 (minimum), and can be named in honor of the donor(s), faculty/student, or program they wish to honor.

Endowed funds are donated to Western Oregon University, managed via the WOU Foundation, with the agreement that the gift itself will not be spent.

Investment income will be used in support of the donor intention, but must be used for any purpose which advances the mission of Western Oregon University.

Donations to an endowed fund can be made with cash, stocks, mutual funds, or bonds. You can even create an endowed fund through your will or trust documents. Please consult with your personal tax advisor regarding the best strategy that works for you. Then contact the Western Oregon Development staff to arrange the specific goals that you have in mind for your endowment.

Endowed funds are truly the gifts that keep on giving.

If you would like more information on creating an endowed fund, please contact
Paul Moredock, Vice President for University Advancement, 503-838-8149, or email at moredocp@wou.edu
