Roger Zumwalt '69, President

WOU Alumni Association Board of Directors

Roger Zumwalt, is married to wife, Sharon, with two grown children. He has been employed by SAIF Corporation in the Administrative Services Division for more than ten years. He has 25 years experience as a hospital administrator (CEO). In addition, since 1978, he has been an active healthcare accreditation surveyor, a surveyor instructor for healthcare accreditation specialists, and an approved healthcare accreditation consultant with the Health Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), in Chicago, Illinois.

Roger has received a number of national recognition awards in healthcare and has been distinguished as a Fellow in his professional college. He graduated from Oregon College of Education (WOU) in 1969 with a B.S. Degree, from Oregon State University with a M.A. Degree (cum laude) in 1973, and participated in the post graduate program in hospital and healthcare administration at The University of Iowa. Roger is a fifth generation Oregonian. He grew up in Salem, Oregon, and his family helped pioneer the mid-Willamette Valley in the early 1850s.

Roger Zumwalt has served on the Alumni Board since 2006. He began his term of office as president on July 1, 2008, and will serve through 2010. Roger succeeds Dwayne Hilty '99 who served as Alumni Board president during the previous two-year term.
