Latin American Studies

Mission

Provides an interdisciplinary approach to Latin American history, society, culture, environment and language. The program encourages students to view Latin America within the ongoing processes of globalization, immigration and trans-nationalism. Students are encouraged to combine coursework on Latin America with study abroad opportunities that include Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador and Chile offered in cooperation with the NCSA and OUS consortiums.
