Orquestra Brasil

Orquestra Brasil is dedicated to music of the African Diaspora in Brazil. Songs from the choro, samba, bossa nova, and MPB traditions are staples of the orchestra’s repertoire. In recent shows, the group has featured the music of Tom Jobim, Ivan Lins, Gilberto Gil, Toninho Horta, Milton Nascimento, João Bosco, Ivete Sangalo, Choro das Três, Wagner Trindade, and Marvio Ciribelli.

Auditions are held during New Student Week, during the first week of each term, and by appointment with the director.
