2011 — Edward Gorey
September – December
Edward Gorey’s work has become an inspiration for many films, including Coraline and Alice in Wonderland, and has also inspired the work of other authors such as Daniel Handler, more commonly known as Lemony Snicket. It is easy to see that though Edward Gorey passed away, his work and its influence have not passed along with him. The exhibit is made up of books owned by the library in conjunction with a recent donation made by Alfred P. Maurice.
