1. Therefore I am basically describing how I have been able to see things from a local point of view. 2. I was always trying very hard to see things from their point of view and would say to myself, "it must be a Spanish thing". I would try to not let it get to me. 3. But now I have reasons behind the things I don't understand, therefore I can understand them better and I know mostly why they do things and even if I wouldn't do it the same way, their way also makes sense. It is weird because I never really thought that there could be 2 ways for something to make sense. (Spanish way and American way) 4. The intercultural class and the reading for this class has allowed me to see inside perspectives. 5. Well, I have gotten to the point where, if something throws me off, I'll think "weird, maybe that's not how things are done here" and "I'll push it aside." 6. I know that it has been sort of a cycle. So the things I think like "it just must be different here" and I don't know why yet, I know that the longer I'm here, the better I will be able to understand it. Because in that time, I can talk to Carmen about it or bring it up in intercultural class and things like that.
