1.  Relating to the opposite sex.
2.  Before arriving I was told Italian men were the most dreamy, beautiful men known to man.
3.  100% false in fact, I don't believe that the majority of people have ever seen an Italian man and how they truly act.
4.  Different experience and encounters with men.
5.  I just feel that the Italian men meet us not only American women, but all women and they immediately think "I can get her in my bed".  The truth is I think they are hardly every successful.
6.  The effects are that I will not longer sit back and listen to women say that Italian are the only men who know how to treat a girl because what girl want to marry someone who won't be faithful them?  It will surely make me want to be careful when dating and I feel it has caused me to be stand offish in the beginning.
