1.  Adaptation to the local housing situation.
2.  It was very difficult to get used to it in the beginning.
3.  Now, it's still strange and sometimes uncomfortable, but at least I'm more aware of some of the reasons behind the strangeness.
4.  I can speak better Italian now can better ask specific questions and understand the answers to situations that I don't understand in adapting to a strange situation sign language only goes so far.
5.  At home, I was king of my castle, now my attitudes on sharing (even though I have an older brother to share with) have drastically expanded.
6.  When I go home, any difficult situation will be better dealt with because at least I can deal with it in English.
