1. The pace of life. Here waiting for things is just a part of life. In the UNITED STATES, we're so fast-moving and always in a rush. Spain understands patience and doesn't mind taking a little extra time for things like food and getting places. 2. I was really impatient and bothered sharp with people. I thought I was going to go crazy and that time would never pass here. 3. Now I've definitely adjusted to the change of pace. I like naps and taking time to really sit down and have a meal. I give myself time to leisurely walk places and take in my surroundings. 4. Time itself happened. I've just relaxed a whole lot more and have stopped being angry. I also realized that part of this experience is to let it happen rather than always trying to make it happen. 5. I've learned to take things as they come, and not be so future oriented. I'm not sure if this will work to my advantage once I get back in the states, but I enjoy less obvious things now, and take time for things that I want to do, because EVERYONE does it here. 6. I'm a more patient person with less stress. Because communication here takes longer for me than at home, I think I'm a better listener and I really process what people say. I'm also more aware of myself as an individual because I've been given time to do a lot of self-reflection.
