Scared, unsure, confused, completely stumped.
Much better, able to navigate Metro anywhere, tram.   STILL, am unable to figure out the bus, but I haven't really tried, except to go to the airport.
Having to use the metro, wanting to use the tram forced to 'get it'.
More confident sure of when where cost of local transport and learning the language has helped read signs and ask for directions.
Me prediction for long-term:  This intercultural adjustment will be the same as any new situation in my life.  It's just being willing wanting or forced to deal with a new situation.  I don't think that Seattle has a metro.
