When I first started exploring Greece, I quickly realized that the pace of life here and the use of time is much different. In the first week, I remember being frustrated with the irregular hours some shops and restaurants had. I would walk long distances to see a movie or shop, just to find it was closed for the siesta in the middle of the day, and be very frustrated. Then I noticesd that Greeks ate their dinners later and saw that they took their time with things and stayed up later, so the mid-day break was necessary. In general, I feel like I've become more patient because of this and more culturally tolerant. It took a bit to adjust but now I see that it is not really a big deal.
