Study of the history, philosophy and theory of the use of physical evidence in the U.S. criminal courts. Focuses on crime scene procedures including the recognition, collection and preservation of evidence, crime scene process and procedure, the exclusionary rule and relevant legal process. Prerequisite: CJ 213 or consent of instructor
