Are you interested in being a student worker for the WOU Mathematics Department?

 

Paper Graders

The Mathematics Department frequently hires student workers to help with grading papers fall, winter and spring terms.

 

Math Center Tutors

The Mathematics Department hires student workers each term to tutor math in the Math Center (wou.edu/mathcenter). The Math Center tutors cover math courses (MTH 070, 095, 105, 111, 112 and 243) and math ed courses (MTH 211, 212, 213, 392, 393. 394, 398, 492, 494 and 495) and is working on offering calculus tutoring (MTH 251 and 252).

 

ALEKS Class Helpers

The Mathematics Department hires a student worker each term to help in the MTH 067/068 ALEKS Prep courses A & B. These student workers need to have a solid mathematical foundation at least through MTH 112.


Application Process
If you are interested in working as a Mathematics Department Student Worker (grader, tutor or class assistant):
  • Please fill out the general math student worker application form linked here:
  • Drop off your completed form at the Mathematics Office, MNB 116.
  • Math student workers are paid using the standard, on campus, student wage rate.
  • Deadline for the 2014 - 2015 student worker applications:
    • Friday, May 23, 2014, close of business
