Philosophy -- This text was very influential in the Middle Ages; this site directs you
to the text as well as gives information about it and Boethius
- The
Four Humours -- Some general information useful for reading medieval and renaissance
literature, primarily the four humours (medical theory) and allegorical interpretation
- Courtly
Love (general note). -- What it says; the short article sums up the issues and
"rules"
- The
Enduring Popularity of Courtly Love -- This article provides background and
discussion, occasionally going beyond the Middle Ages

Focuses on Arthurian literature and the legends surrounding King Arthur's court
- TRISTAN and ISOLT: TEXTS,
IMAGES, BASIC INFORMATION -- Camelot project site which gives general background on
the Tristan story, more than just Gottfried

English Literature (1350-1485) -- Includes anonymous as well as known authors, several
genres (including lyric)

DE PISAN OFFERS -- Manuscript illustration from the early 15th century; maybe while

- KTEH's Ode to Phaedra

- Modern Language
Association Style Guide -- More complete than the one above, this gives models for
most of the types of entries you'll need, but you'll still need to consult the printed
edition for some entries
